CHOCOLATE CAKE A LA VERA SLAWINSKI
INGREDIENTS*

250 g butter
250 g dark chocolate
200 g ground almonds
8 eggs
200 g sugar
2 tablespoons of starch
powdersugar
butter + breadcrumbs for the baking form

PREPARATION
1. Preheat the oven with top/bottom heat to 180 °C. Gas level 3
2. Separate eggs, beat egg-yokes and
sugar until frothy. Add the ground almonds
3. Melt butter in water-bath, however not completely liquidly
4. Melt chocolate in water-bath
5. Add the soft butter and melted chocolate to the mixture
6. Beat the egg-whites until they are stiff. Fold carefully into the mixture. Mix in gently the sifted starch
through a colander
7. Pour the mixture into the baking form [grease the baking form to make the loosening
of the baked cake easier]
8. Bake in the oven-middle for approx. 40 minutes
9. Test with a wooden-skewer to see if baked enough. If no dough sticks to skewer the cake is well baked. Take the cake out of the form and sift powdersugar over it."

"LE QUATRE-QUART DE INGREDIENTS BELLE MAMAN MARLIES
200 g de beurre
200 g de sucre
1 sachet de sucre vanillé
4 oeufs
200 g de farine à gâteau
beurre et chapelure pour graisser le moule
de sucre glace

PREPARATION
1. Chauffer le four à 170° [Gaz Therm 3].
2. Travailler le beurre, le sucre et le sucre vanillé jusqu’à
obtention d’une crème homogène.
3. Battre les oeufs un par un.
4. Verser le tout dans la farine tamisée.
5. Cuire au centre du four pendant environ 45 min.
Tester avec une broche la cuisson du gâteau.
6. Sortir le gâteau du moule et le saupoudrer de sucre glace."
